Never a Dull Moment

One of the nicest things about working as one of the art directors at imvu.com is I never know what I am going to be asked to design next. From one week to another I might be asked to build a time machine, an iron maiden, a space ship, or cotton candy stand. It reminds me of advice we got in art school when we were studying to become commercial illustrators.

“Learn to draw everything, because you never know what you will be ask to illustrate from one job to the next.”

That certainly turned out to be true, but in this case I have to design, build, and texture each element rather then merely draw it. I certainly keeps things fresh and interesting. My most recent assignment was to design and build a “Carnival in the Clouds” ... go figure.

You can seem more examples of my every growing list of places on my Flickr page, here

Is it totally insane for that second shot to remind me of the Monsters, Inc. scare floor? :-)
